Property Buying Process
Contract of Sale

The lawyer who is responsible for drafting the contract will protect the interests of the buyer by adding fair terms and conditions into the Contract of Sale. He will also obtain a copy of the Title Deeds from the Vendor or Land Registry Office and will examine them carefully to certify that all details are correct and that the property can actually be sold and registered in the buyers name without any problems.

Once the buyer is satisfied with the contract, he can either sign it himself or it can be signed by his lawyer by virtue of a Power of Attorney. The lawyer can use this Power of Attorney to sign any other necessary documents until the transaction is complete.
