What is the maximum repayment term I can get?
This greatly depends on your age and the currency you wish to borrow. As mentioned previously, your loan must be paid off before you reach 65 or 70 and foreign currency loans are only available on a 10 year repayment term.

How much will the banks lend me?
In Cyprus the banks can lend up to CY£500,000, but the actual amount loaned will depend on the bank's assessment of the property. Banks work on a Loan to value ratio of 70%, however the price you agree with the seller is not necessarily the value the bank will use to calculate the LTV ratio. You are liable to pay for the assessment of the property which will be carried out by a registered surveyor and should cost you approximately CY£100, dependent on the size of the property.

 When will I make the first payment on the loan?
Your first repayment is payable one month after your money is released.
