Giolou

Only 26km from Paphos and 12km from Polis, is the charming village of Giolou. Roughly 800 locals live in the village and 15 non-Cypriot families, although the number does rise in summer, when holiday homes are inhabited.

Giolou has three mini markets and three coffee shops, and has two churches: an 18th century traditional building and a bigger, modern church. There are two schools in the village and it is virtually crime free.

Being built 368m above sea level, Giolou offers fantastic views out towards the sea at Polis, a lovely breeze, and is surrounded by citrus groves and vineyards.
