The Local Authorities charge between £30 and £100 per annum, this covers regular refuse collection (usually twice a week) and street lighting etc. The exact amount you are charged depends on the area in which you live. |

Although there is no gas supply on the island, gas bottles are readily available at most supermarkets for only a few pounds. |

| Electricity |

You will be asked for a small deposit on connection, after that you will pay a very small standing charge plus consumption every two months. All utility bills can be paid via direct debit for your convenience. |

After your initial deposit, you will pay about £6 standing charge plus consumption, every quarter. |
