The Local Authorities charge between £30 and £100 per annum, this covers regular refuse collection (usually twice a week) and street lighting etc. The exact amount you are charged depends on the area in which you live.

Although there is no gas supply on the island, gas bottles are readily available at most supermarkets for only a few pounds.

You will be asked for a small deposit on connection, after that you will pay a very small standing charge plus consumption every two months. All utility bills can be paid via direct debit for your convenience.

After your initial deposit, you will pay about £6 standing charge plus consumption, every quarter.
