Omodhos
The beautiful wine making village of Omodhos is situated 11km south west of Platres, and was once owned by Sir John de Brie, the Prince of Galilee.
Here is home to the Monastery of Stavros in the village square. Omodhos also has a small national struggle museum and a traditional house that has been restored, exhibiting the wine making process along with the traditional wine press known as ‘linos’. This is a traditional village which enjoys a welcome cool breeze in the summer months and suffers from very little, if any, humidity. |
